Dear Take Three,

This topic has been discussed before on forums but I thought it might make an interesting podcast topic. My question is about radioplays with adult/suggestive content. Why do some actors have no problems with acting in radioplays with adult/suggestive content while others do? Why do you think there's a line drawn between acting out violence and acting out sexual scenes? Is it individual or cultural? What is considered adult content? Because there is no visual component, do you think there is much need for censorship?

I think it would be interesting if you posed it as a question at the end of another podcast so your listeners could answer the question themselves and maybe pick the "best" answers to present in another podcast along with the Take Three take on things.

Oh! Maybe talk about making .zip the standard for sending lines because .rar, .7z ... it's just not necessary to have so many different programs and it makes things difficult on producers when everyone is sending lines in to them compressed differently. If we can settle on lines being in mp3 format, perhaps we can settle on compression being in .zip format.

Sincerely,
Niko the Shunned

Dear Take Three

Post  MistyGlow-Betty on Fri Sep 12, 2008 8:00 pm

I don't think this topic has been addressed before, and I haven't really checked on the VAA forums to see it anyone's posted a thread about this. Nor have I posted anything on the topic.
However, I feel comfortable enough to do it here.
What do you do if the lines for the character you're auditioning for have terrible grammatical errors?
Do you just PM the person and risk offending them, sadly some people don't like to be corrected and are offended when they receive criticism on their work.
When you're auditioning, do you just say the lines with all the errors? I doubt one can take the liberty to correct it.
And I'm talking particularly about original work.
Thank you!
